Breathing Life into an Existing Building
Breathing Life into an Existing Building

Buildings resist adaptation. They prefer to be built only once. Their structural arrangement, construction, orientation, character, and location all contribute to their resistance to change. Oblivious to their shortcomings, faults or failings that have developed over time, buildings are content to remain as they are.
They are heavy, immovable objects, up to their ankles in earth and connected by a series of underground and overground umbilical cords to centralised sources of power, water, and drainage. No wonder they don’t want to change their ways as they are literally stuck in the mud! Despite this, we love the challenge of breathing new life into them.
