Inspired by traditional steadings, this contemporary house choreographs an architectural journey from its immediate landscape surroundings towards the faraway hillscape; characteristics which our client wished to cherish in the completed building.
We designed a plan which forms a sheltered sunny courtyard and a free-flowing arrangement of family and private spaces. This leads to a dramatic upper floor living room and terrace, nestling beneath the tree canopy and gazing towards the distant mountains.
